Most frequently asked questions about Electrolysis

Q: How is the hair removed?
A tiny, split second impulse is directed into the hair root to destroy it. People of color generally have very curly hair. We have developed a special technique to treat curly hair successfully.

Q: What kind of needles are used?
We only use extremely fine, sterilized, disposable needless ( also called a probe).

Q: Is the treatment painfulf?
A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle so your skin is not punctured or damaged in any way. Most people find tweezing and waxing to cause more discomfort than Electrolysis treatments.

Q: How many treatments will I need?
Several treatments are usually necessary and vary from person to person. Any previous temporary methods such as waxing and tweezing (which often cause ingrown hairs) will affect the length of your treatment. For permanent results regular treatments are recommended. We will provide you with a schedule on your first visit.

Q: Aren’t Electrolysis treatments expensive?
If you are using tremporary methods which must be continued forever, electrolysis will save you money in the long run.
